zIGBEE
ZigBee is intended for use in embedded applications requiring low data rates and low power consumption. ZigBee current focus is to define a general-purpose, inexpensive, self-organizing, mesh network that can be used for industrial control, embedded sensing, medical data collection, smoke and intruder warning, building automation, home automation etc. The resulting network will use very small amounts of power so individual devices might run for a year or two using the originally installed battery.
Dimmable Electronic Ballast (Wireless)

It has been designed to operate on very low power levels. While operating, the ballast consumes 36W Max (32.5 Typical)/Hr of power as compared to the conventional ballast (with Aluminum Choke) available in the market which consumes 90W/Hr of power, while delivering the same intensity of light. In Addition to this the power consumed by the ballast can be further reduced by regulating the brightness of the tube light.
It allows lights to be controlled wirelessly by user friendly software installed on a Computer/PDA. This software has a number of options which include Grouping, Scheduling and Identifying faulty lights. This lighting system is ideal for Parking Lots, Corridors, Lobby, Outdoor lighting etc. Implementing this system will result in substantial cost savings.

Automated meter reading
Automated Meter Reading is the technology which automatically collects real time data from Electricity Meter devices and transfers the data to a central database for Billing and analyzing. This technology can be used to manage Energy resources efficiently and help the Electricity Boards, reduce theft by pinpointing irregularities in electricity usage.
RF Arrays ZigBee-based AMR solution offers:
-
Wide area coverage through mesh networking capabilities
-
A very large number of meters can be managed from a single point of presence
-
High Data Reliability
-
Interoperability of products for a wide range of applications, since ZigBee is a global standard
RF Arrays has partnered with various Electricity meter manufacturers to develop an Automated Meter Reading system using ZigBee.
Product Brochure
RF Arrays has been developing systems for
wireless data monitoring and is in the process of implementing these
systems at various locations.
RF Arrays has developed a system for Monitoring Data at Power
Generating Units and Thermal Power Plants. All the critical
parameters are wirelessly transmitted to display boards located at
various locations, the data can also be sent to cell phones or to
computers wirelessly.
This wireless data monitoring solution can be applied to many
other applications where monitoring of critical parameters is
required.
RF Arrays has developed a system to Wirelessly Monitor and Control
various parameters and processes at Electric Substations. The Data
collected from the Substations is transmitted to the central
distribution Center where it can be analyzed.
RF Arrays current solution has been designed to Monitor/control the
following parameters/processes at Electricity Distribution Station
and transmit the data to the Data Collection Centre:
Voltage levels (110 V) at three phases (R,Y,B)
9 Current levels up to 5 Amps
16 Digital Inputs which can be used to monitor various
processes.
8 Digital Output Relays (125 V AC, 7A). These can be used to
control processes within the substation.
Priority Input feedback - Priority inputs are provided through
which an instantaneous message will be sent to the Central
Control room if certain parameters are exceeded.
These Systems are designed by
the Engineering Team at RF Arrays and can be customized to meet the
requirement of the customer. RF arrays is using ZigBee modules for Monitoring
various data parameters in Industrial Assembly lines, Thermal
stations etc.
